Blitz Blok Status

We have been keeping busy with Blitz Blok. I have finals this week, so I will not be able to do much programming this week, but the rest of the crew is working. We have not been focusing on Forsaken Realm as much lately, but the recent performance improvements done to Blitz Blok's graphics code will also improve Forsaken Realm's performance as well. This will give us greater opportunities in environment and interface rendering.

I was also able to finish setting up the infrastructure for the leaderboard system and our updated website. The website should be updated by next week when all of the content has been added. It just has to go through our final edit process and a few tests.

As mentioned above, Forsaken Realm is getting a little attention. The Windows-based level editor that I will be developing (4th generation level editor) is being designed, and the game's current pre-production state is moving along. Our team does need to meet up with each other next weekend to work on some ideas. As soon as the story is solidified, we can piece together a complete and thorough list of quests and objectives for the player to play through and experience which will then define the level editor's scripting interface. I personally have a few ideas for getting around some of the hardware restrictions the iPhone poses to bring beautiful cut-scenes to our game, but it may cost us much more development time and money, so these ideas are up in the air at the moment.
